North Nelson to Brightwater Corridor Study
The North Nelson-Brightwater Corridor Study has resulted in a
consultation document setting out two options for the Annesbrook to City
section. Transit is looking for feedback on these options.
The Tahunanui Business Association is concerned about the severe effects
of the proposed Option 1 on the Tahunanui community, that clearways and 3
lanes of heavy traffic along Tahunanui Drive will create increased
separation between the east and west sides of Tahunanui with road
closures and restricted access/exit points making it very difficult for
the community to access schools, public amenities, health services and
recreational facilities.
The Association would encourage all Tahunanui residents to either
complete the feedback form in the Consultation Document, complete the
feedback form attached to the 'Protect our Community' leaflet, or make an
individual submission - by 17 August 2007, to ...
